Bali Officials have announced that 96% of the population in the Sanur area have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The Spokesman of Denpasar Covid-19 Handling Task Force, I Dewa Gede Rai said that 96% of the 33,225 people in Sanur have received their first dose of the vaccine. “Most of them are vaccinated, there are only 324 people left in three main Sanur areas such as Sanur Kaja village, Sanur Kauh village and Sanur village.” said Gede Rai on Saturday (3/4).
He also explained that the Covid-19 vaccine distribution program in Sanur was extended until the 4th of April 2021 to optimize the distribution program. “The program was extended to give another chance for the people who previously weren’t physically qualified due to their health condition. But I’m quite impressed with the people’s enthusiasm to join this vaccination program.” Gede Rai added.
Gede Rai hopes that the Covid-19 Free Corridor program will be implemented in the near future when all of the people in Sanur both permanent and temporary residents are vaccinated. “I hope all the people who work or own a business in Sanur will receive a positive impact from the reopening that is planned to begin by June or July this year. I also want to inform you that the registration to get the vaccine is very simple, Sanur residents only need to show their ID in order to receive the vaccine.” Gede Rai concluded.
