Hotels in Nusa Dua have recorded a 182 percent growth in their collective hotel occupancy rate during the first quarter of 2022.
The Managing Director of Nusa Dua, I Gusti Ngurah Ardita confirmed that the occupancy rate of the hotels has significantly increased. This is in comparison with the data from the same period in 2021.
“We’re so grateful that our hotel occupancy rate during the Q1 of 2022 is positive compared to the data from the same period last year.” Ardita said on Friday (15/4).
From January to March 2022, Nusa Dua received 60,388 guests, with an average occupancy rate of 21.23%.
“This rate has increased compared to last year, with only 26,913 guests during the first quarter,” Ardita added. He explained that this increase began since domestic travelers became less reluctant to travel at the end of 2021.
Although the situation is still far from normal, Ardita was optimistic that things will keep on getting better as the international travelers start to visit the island since the government resumed the visa on arrival program and dropped the quarantine policy.
There are 21 hotels that are located within the Nusa Dua area, and 18 of them have resumed operations as of March 2022.
