An official from the Bali Covid-19 Handling Task Force has confirmed that the recovery rate of Covid-19 in Bali has increased.
Bali recorded 1,307 new cases and 1,686 recoveries on Tuesday (15/2), reflecting a significant increase in the recovery rate since Omicron transmission first surged several weeks ago.
However, the official admitted that 20 patients in Bali still died during this third wave.
To prevent another surge in transmission, the government prepared quarantine facilities to accommodate asymptomatic Covid-19 patients.
The Spokesman of Denpasar Covid-19 Handling Task Force, I Dewa Gede Rai, stated that the Denpasar city government has four quarantine facilities, though some Covid-19 patients still self-isolate at home.
“Some children and senior citizens were allowed to undergo self-isolation at home with the supervision from the local authority,” Dewa Rai said on Monday (14/2).
He ensured that all self-isolating patients were regularly monitored to prevent Covid-19 clusters from forming among them.
