A Mexican national named Israel Ravirosa Figueroa has requested Indonesian citizenship to help support the Bali economy.
In a citizenship application trial led by Constantinus Kristomo on Wednesday (22/12), Israel was interviewed by the verification team to follow up his request to be an Indonesian citizen. The verification team also includes the Head of Law and Human Rights Minister, Jamaruli Manihuruk, Immigration officers, and police officers.
The man, who has been living in Seminyak, Bali since 2010, admitted that he had fallen in love with Bali since the first time he visited the island in 2006.
“He fell in love with Bali when he visited the island in 2006, and it motivated him to begin learning the Indonesian language. Today, he can speak our language quite fluently,” Jamaruli said on Thursday (23/12).
Israel decided to come back to Bali in 2010 and began to work as a director in a private company with a Temporary Stay Permit Card.
