The Covid-19 Handling Task Force announced that 7 out of 9 Bali regions are considered safer areas from Covid-19 transmission.
The Head of the Bali Covid-19 Handling Task Force, I Made Rentin, confirmed that most Bali regions have turned into yellow zones as the cases had significantly dropped.
“7 regions, namely, Denpasar, Jembrana, Klungkung, Karangasem, Bangli, Buleleng, and Tabanan, have been marked as yellow zones. The other two, Badung and Gianyar, are still considered orange zones with a higher risk of Covid transmission as of Friday (11/3),” Rentin stated.https://5678b1ff13f71355001e89e257f72f86.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html
As one of the safest regions in Bali, Buleleng already closed down all quarantine facilities across the region as the number of Covid-19 patients decreased, causing the facilities to become unoccupied.
The Head of Buleleng Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Putu Ariadi Pribadi, confirmed that officials have recently closed down the quarantine facility in Jinengdalem Village on Thursday (10/3) and the one in Kubutambahan Village on Tuesday (22/2).
“The quarantine time of our last Covid patient is over today, and we’ve granted them permission to go back home,” Pribadi said on Thursday morning (10/3).
After officially closing down the facilities, officials immediately sterilized the buildings to reconvert the area as a dormitory for college students. However, Pribadi admitted that he has an agreement with a regional military officer in Kubutambahan Village that should cases surge again, they can once again use the dormitory building as a quarantine facility.
