Batik Air announced it officially offers direct flights connecting Bali’s Denpasar to Sydney and Melbourne which starts on January 6th. The air carrier’s spokesperson Danang Mandala Prihartono said the inaugural round-trip flight on Thursday carried a total of 278 passengers.
“[The flight from] Sydney to Bali carried 138 passengers. Melbourne to Bali saw 140 passengers,” said Danang in a written statement Friday, January 6.
The Bali – Australia – Bali regular flight utilizes the Boeing 737-800NG which accommodates 12 business classes and 150 economy classes. The spokesperson assured that the aircraft used is the latest generation that “Has just been delivered by the aircraft manufacturer.”
Flights to and from Bali are served from the International I Gusti Ngurah Rai airport to the Internasional Sydney Kingsford Smith (SYD) and Internasional Melbourne (MEL) airports. The subsidiary of low-cost carrier Lion Air Group says flight schedules are available every day or seven days each week.
