The central government has implemented level II measures on the extended partial lockdown in Bali.
The Head of the Bali Health Agency, Dr. Ketut Suarjaya confirmed that the leniency on the partial lockdown’s policy was granted as the Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) of Bali hospitals has significantly decreased. “Covid-19 transmissions in Bali have significantly decreased during recent days, and our bed occupancy ratio is less than 10 %.” Dr. Suarjaya said on Wednesday (20/10).
Suarjaya explained that a total of 479 Covid-19 patients are currently being isolated at several different hospitals across the island. However, he also admitted that the recovery rate of Covid-19 in Bali keeps on increasing. “Our recovery rate of Covid-19 has increased to 96.5% while the death rate has reduced to 3.53%.” Dr. Suarjaya added.
Meanwhile the Head of the Sanglah Hospital Public Relations Officer, Dewa Ketut Kresna confirmed that Sanglah Hospital only has 20 Covid-19 patients left in their facility and that number has kept reducing in the past several weeks. However, the Spokesman of the Denpasar Covid-19 Handling Task Force, Dewa Gede Rai reminds the people to keep complying with the government’s instructions to prevent Covid-19 cases from rising in Denpasar.
