The Bali Provincial Government has reduced quarantine time for international visitors into 5 days.
Bali Vice Governor, Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati (Cok Ace) confirmed that the provincial government has finally reduced the quarantine time from 8 days into 5 days. “After discussing this entry requirement policy, we have agreed to reduce the quarantine time for international travelers into only 5 days.” Cok Ace said in Denpasar on Monday (11/10).
Cok Ace explained that this policy was revised, during a meeting with the Coordinator of Partial Lockdown Implementation for Bali and Java, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan on Sunday evening (10/10). “During the meeting with Luhut, we decided to revise this policy after looking at our competitors as many of them don’t require their visitors to undergo any quarantine upon their arrivals.” Cok Ace added.
He also said that the government will potentially reduce this 5 days of quarantine if the new variant of Covid-19 such as MU variant is properly handled in other countries. However, Cok Ace stated that despite this evaluation, the government will keep implementing quarantine as one of the requirements. “During our meeting, everyone agreed that it’s still not possible to completely revoke the quarantine policy for Bali visitors.” Cok Ace concluded.
