The Indonesian central government has decided to remove PCR testing as an entry requirement for Bali’s domestic visitors.
The Stakeholder Relations Manager of Angkasa Pura I, Ltd for the Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport, Taufan Yudhistira confirmed that in accordance with the latest Decree from the Transportation Minister, Number 96 Year 2021 that was issued on Tuesday (2/11), the central government has officially revised its travel policy for Bali’s domestic visitors.
As the Bali Sun reported, after previously receiving many cancelations from domestic visitors due to the new travel policy which required visitors to show PCR test documents upon their arrivals at the Bali Airport,The central government has revoked this policy to help Bali’s tourism sector overcome this crisis. “We have officially implemented the adjusted policy for domestic visitors as of today,” Yudhistira said on Wednesday (3/11).
Yudhistira explained that this policy only applies to visitors who have completed their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccination. “Tourists who have only received their first dose of vaccine are still required to show a negative PCR test upon arrival,” Yudhistira added. He also said that visitors under the age of 12 years old are only required to test negative with a PCR test without showing proof of a Covid-19 vaccination.
Apart from that, he also reminds the community that both Covid-19 tests and vaccination documents must be integrated with the PeduliLindungi tracing app to avoid unnecessary problems upon their arrival at the Bali Airport.
